Classification: Non-Exempt Classified Compensation Plan: Up to 40 Hours/Week with District’s Benefit Plan

Purpose Statement:  The Behavior Technician provides support to the classroom teacher and is responsible for providing academic and behavioral support to students by keeping students on-task and following the behavior plan established by the IEP team. The Behavioral Technician will assist in the implementation of a written positive behavior support plans as directed by the ED-P certificated staff.  This will include one-on-one behavioral interventions and skill development activities. Services will be provided to children with challenging behaviors ages 5 through 21 in the classroom and/or on school transportation as needed.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma/GED and meets the State and Federal guidelines for a highly-qualified paraprofessional (PRAXIS or Work Keys test accepted, or Associate’s degree, or, 60 college credits.) Bilingual preferred.
